TxEEE Graduates Celebrate Completion of Masters’ Degrees
The pride, happiness and relief across the faces of the Texas Engineering Executive Education (TxEEE) December graduates was electric at the end-of-semester celebration. Students were excited about their prospects, adding the high value credential of a University of Texas Master’s of Engineering in Engineering Management (MEM) and also Software Engineering and what that leads to for career opportunities.

Software engineering recruiters have shared with TxEEE the great need for professionals who have advanced software engineering training to guide the development and applications of AI and machine learning. TxEEE’s software engineering degree focuses on preparing engineers for that.
Graduates earning the Engineering Management degree included both part-time students and students participating in the full-time, fast track option. MEM graduates benefit from TxEEE’s recent certification by the American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM) which offers students various enhancements to their degree.
MEM full-time students also have the opportunity to incorporate an internship into their coursework which has offered numerous students not only valuable experience, but also strategic contacts for future job prospects.
Best of luck to our graduations as they embark on their next chapter of life and professional growth.
December Celebration Honors MEM Marketing Professors
The Graduation event also marked the end of an era for the popular MEM marketing course. Long-time Professor Norm Kaderlan retired and was honored for his commitment to guided countless students through the complexities of marketing, strategic innovation, and leadership. His dedication to bridging the gap between engineering and business has empowered our graduates to become not just technical experts, but also strategic thinkers and industry leaders.

Co-teaching the Marketing course in recent years with Kaderlan, Instructor Rebecca Geier was also honored for the real-world insights and energy she brought to the classroom. Her expertise in branding, storytelling and strategic communication guided students on the importance of connecting technical solutions to real-world needs. Geier’s enthusiasm for mentoring and her unwavering support for students inspired many to pursue impactful careers and to communicate their ideas with clarity and confidence.
While Kaderlan and Geier will be missed, TxEEE is pleased to announce that Raghunath Rao, Ph.D., chair of the Marketing Department of the UT McCombs School of Business, will join the MEM faculty and teach part of the Marketing and Negotiations course, focused on Marketing Analytics.
