Fundamentals of Offshore Structures (FOS) reviews the fundamentals of fixed and floating offshore structures. Participants learn the latest research developments and best practices in theory and process of structural design and construction from industry experts. Participants also have the opportunity to build their professional network with fellow offshore personnel.

CEUs/Digital Badge Certification/ Fundamentals of Offshore Engineering Professional Certificate Program

Participants who attend all Fundamentals of Offshore Structures sessions earn four Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a digital badge certification. The digital badge is secure verification that can be shared on social media and/or print as a traditional course certificate or resume.

The Fundamentals of Offshore Engineering Professional Certificate Program is comprised of three courses: Fundamentals of Offshore Structures (FOS) , Design of Fixed Offshore Platforms (DFOP) and Design of Floating Production Systems (DFPS). Participants must complete all three courses to earn the offshore professional certificate. Previous participants of FOS/DFOP/DFPS are eligible to earn this credential. Course Format

Fundamentals of Offshore Structures (FOS) is held in-person on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin. There is also a live online option for those unable to attend in person. It is strongly encouraged participants attend all sessions. Recordings of sessions are not available.
