New SWE Program Director

Dr. Suzanne Barber has stepped down as Program Director of the Option III Software program, although she continues to teach for the program. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Vijay Garg as Program Director effective fall 2015.

Dr. GargDr. Garg has instituted several program changes since filling the position. Effective 2017 when new catalogue requirements take effect, new students will no longer be required to complete a Master's project. Instead, the program will require students take 10 academic courses to complete the program of work. Dr. Garg also intends to regularly offer new classes in order to offer more course options to students.

Two new courses have been added for spring 2016: Data Engineering, taught by Dr. Miranker, and Data Mining, taught by Dr. Caramanis. Dr. Yerraballi will be teaching Communication Networks in fall 2016.
