Internship Spotlight: Sivajee Nadimpalli (Engineering Management Fast Track Program)
Sivajee is pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering (Engineering Management) degree and is currently enrolled in the fast-track, full-time program. As part of the curriculum, students have the option to complete a one-semester internship course. Over the summer of 2024, Sivajee participated in an internship at Monolith AI. This option allows full-time students to utilize their new knowledge and skills in a professional setting while gaining valuable experience and making connections. Students are responsible for obtaining their internship and must focus on a role within engineering management.
Sivajee served as a Product Marketing Intern at Monolith AI, an engineering company focused on creating systems that learn from historical experiences in engineering data. Sivajee’s role at Monolith AI was multifaceted, involving coordinating with external partners to independently develop critical tools that assist sales and marketing teams and devising strategies to streamline processes.
The position allowed him to leverage his background in engineering management and apply skills in a real-world setting, further sharpening his abilities in project management, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic implementation. These attributes and lessons he is sharpening reflect curriculum areas covered in the Engineering Management master’s program.
One important takeaway Sivajee shared was that Monolith AI deepened his understanding of effectively integrating technical skills with marketing strategies and driving business growth. “I learned the importance of collaboration across various teams and the impact of innovative tools in enhancing operational efficiency.”
