Design of Floating Production Systems (DFPS)
This course explores the design of floating offshore platforms, covering hydrodynamic analysis, structural design, material selection and industry standards. It provides a comprehensive overview of the latest practices and techniques used in the design of safe and efficient floating platforms. The course also facilitates opportunities to network with other offshore industry professionals.

Participants who attend all Design of Floating Production Systems (DFPS) sessions earn four Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a digital badge certification. The digital badge is secure verification that can be shared on social media and/or print as a traditional course certificate or resume.
The Fundamentals of Offshore Engineering Professional Certificate Program is comprised of three courses: Fundamentals of Offshore Structures (FOS) , Design of Fixed Offshore Platforms (DFOP) and Design of Floating Production Systems (DFPS). Participants must complete all three courses to earn the offshore professional certificate. Participants who do not wish to complete the Fundamentals of Offshore Engineering Certificate can register for individual courses. Previous participants of FOS/DFOP/DFPS are eligible to earn this credential. Please contact epd@engr.utexas.edu, for more information.
Design of Floating Production Systems (DFPS) is held in-person on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin. There is also a live online option for those unable to attend in person. It is strongly encouraged participants attend all sessions. Recordings of sessions are not available.
Design of Floating Production Systems is taught by 10 accredited and seasoned indsutry experts.
