Each October and March in advance of the registration period, you will be surveyed regarding course selection for the upcoming semester. TxEEE staff will then register students for courses during prescribed registration access periods. Invoices with tuition due dates will be sent to students. It is the student’s responsibility to double-check their tuition invoices to ensure they were registered appropriately.
Please note that priority will be given to students nearing the end of their program of study. It is important that you respond to these registration e-mails and select your course offerings in the given time frame so that you will be enrolled in the courses by the university’s deadline.
Registration in the Engineering Master’s Program courses is restricted to current students. If you wish to audit or visit a course, please contact the Anne Welch. The program cannot accept transferred course work.. UT prohibits concurrent enrollment in more than one graduate program.
In the event that the Graduate Coordinator is unable to register a student during the normal registration period due to a registration bar, for not indicating registration preferences, or for any other reason not due to staff error, the student will be charged a late registration fee in addition to normal tuition as follows:
- $25.00 through the fourth class day (second class day of a summer term)
- $50.00 from the fifth through twelfth class day (third and fourth class days of a summer term)
- $200.00 after the twelfth class day (after the fourth class day of a summer term)
- (These class days are determined by The University’s traditional semester calendar)
New Student Orientation
We host mandatory orientation sessions each spring and fall semester for new students. Information about the University of Texas at Austin, program requirements, registration, and student resources will be covered. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Faculty, Staff, and their fellow students.
